1 cup water
2 Tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp active dry yeast
3 1/2 to 4 cups bread flour
1 tsp salt
Topping:
4 Tbsp butter, melted
1 clove garlic, minced
Maldon salt
In a microwave safe bowl, stir together the water, melted butter, milk and honey. Microwave the mixture for 1 minute and give it a stir. The mixture should be about 110 degrees. Pour mixture into your mixer bowl and whisk in the yeast. Cover with a towel and let sit for 5 minutes, until the yeast becomes foamy. Add in 3 1/2 cups of flour and the salt. Mix with your dough hook until it is all combined. If the dough is sticking to the sides of the bowl, add in flour 1/4 cup at a time until the dough pulls away from the bowl. Don't add more than 4 cups total. Put the mixer on high and let it beat the dough for 4-5 minutes. Cover the bowl with a damp towel and rise for 30 minutes. Gently punch down the dough and divide into 15 equal pieces, placing the dough balls into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Cover again and let rise for 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Bake the rolls uncovered for 15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown on top and cooked through. While the rolls are baking, melt 4 Tbsp butter in a small sauce pan and combine with the minced garlic. Bring to a simmer and remove from heat. When the rolls come out of the oven, brush the tops with the garlic butter and then sprinkle with Maldon salt.
